Photo Story Haiti: Plants and Reforestation
Parc La Visite protects plants and trees that are used for a variety of purposes. Tree ferns, orchids, and bromeliads are among the many ornamentals in this area with economic value. Medicinal plants, tea herbs, and a host of native fruit and wood species are used daily by residents of Parc La Visite and Jacmel. This photo story explores the many tree and plant species in the area and the threats to their survival.
