Meet the Team


Deanna Del Vecchio
Co-Founder, Executive Director
Deanna Del Vecchio has spent the last ten years working on environmental and arts-based community projects around the world. She holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from the University of British Columbia, and a Master’s degree in Art Education from Concordia University. As her thesis project, she explored the power of photography to elicit youth voice through PhotoLit, a photography and creative writing workshop that she developed and facilitated.

Deanna’s teaching practice focuses on place-based learning and critical pedagogy, and spans a variety of formats, such as youth workshops, outdoor education, and teacher training.

Drawing on her background in art and science, Deanna has sought out opportunities to use the arts for social and environmental change. She has taught middle school science on a rural island in the Bahamas, and facilitated community art projects with youth in Cuba, Haiti, and Romania. As a program manager, she has coordinated an online environmental education program available in 9 languages, and organized traveling exhibits for a Canada-wide art program.

 

Robin Moore
Co-Founder, Creative Director
Since his first foray into conservation in the rainforests of Cameroon at the age of 20, Robin Moore has been instrumental in establishing and supporting conservation projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and has spent the past six years as a powerful voice for amphibian conservation. In 2010 he spearheaded a campaign – “the Search for Lost Frogs” that dispatched 33 research teams in 21 Countries and generated more than 650 news articles in 20 Countries with over a billion potential viewers.

Robin holds a PhD in Biodiversity Conservation and his teaching experience ranges from establishing a new undergraduate course in Tropical Ecology and Conservation at the University of South Florida to training local communities in biodiversity survey techniques in the Philippines and Chile.

Robin is an Associate of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) and his images have received Awards from Nature’s Best Photography, National Geographic Traveler, American Photo, Photo District News, North American Nature Photographers Association and the International Conservation Photography Awards. He is uniquely positioned to use photography as a powerful tool to inspire and motivate people to care and to act.

Neil Ever Osborne
Co-Founder, Director of Operations

Using conservation photography practices, Neil Ever Osborne blends his backgrounds in science and visual communication to bridge gaps between people whose conservation goals are best met through collaboration. He does this using photography, multimedia, and visual communication strategies, while pursuing educational endeavors as a teacher and student of the conservation photography discipline.

Neil Ever Osborne is an Associate of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) and a contributing editor and photographer for Canadian Wildlife Magazine.

Prior to becoming a professional conservation photographer, Neil interned at the Canadian Geographic magazine and mentored under National Geographic photographer Frans Lanting for two years. More recently, he assisted National Geographic photographer Paul Nicklen on assignment.

Neil Ever Osborne currently splits his time completing assignments in the field – he has recently completed excursions to British Columbia, Canada; Baja California Sur, Mexico; Costa Rica; Panama; and Indonesia – and a professorship in Toronto, Canada, where he directs the Environmental Visual Communication program, an innovative initiative of Fleming College and the Royal Ontario Museum.
